The Importance Of Active And Effective Listening - 1319 Words
Have you ever been talking to someone and wondered if they were even listening to you? How do you know if they are actively and effectively listening to your concerns or just hearing you speak? People wonder this all the time, and it is a really an intelligent question to ask because we to come learn during adulthood that there is a difference between listening actively and effectively and just hearing what is being said, especially when talking to customer service agents over the phone. Throughout my time as a customer service and office support specialist (10 plus years) and having worked and trained in many different fields, I know that active and effective listening is a required skill that one must have to make the customer and/or clients feel appreciated and provide exceptional customer service. A companyââ¬â¢s level of professionalism starts with effective and efficient communication which, in most cases, is initiated over the phone and most companies have mutually dependen t departments so communication skills are very important to have.
